Update to South Seattle robbery

On September 5th, at approximately 5:15 pm,  South Precinct officers observed a white Crown Victoria with a broken taillight parked at Rainier Avenue South and South Edmunds Street.  There were several black males standing around the car, and one of them matched the description of a suspect in the early home invasion robbery.  Officers turned their car around, and all but one of the males had fled.  The one remaining was questioned by officers.  He was wearing clothing similar to one of the suspects in the earlier crime, including a red bandana in his back pocket.  The  20 year old suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Robbery Unit office, where he was interviewed by detectives.  He was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.  It is also believed that the suspect vehicle may have in been used in several recent burglaries.  The vehicle was impounded.  Robbery detectives will continue to investigate the robbery and will work with South Precinct Burglary detectives on the burglary cases.
