Robbery detectives have been investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred on September 5th. Information developed during this investigation led to the identity of a possible suspect. On September 7th, detectives from the Robbery Unit were planning on serving a search warrant on the suspect’s residence. As this was being planned, the suspect was observed leaving his residence and walking along the 4800 Block of Rainier Avenue South. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and transported to the Robbery Office where he was interviewed by detectives. His residence was searched, and items taken during the burglary were located, as well as a handgun. The suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary and Violation of Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA). The Robbery detectives will continue to follow up on this investigation.
