On 09/20/11, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the 12-year-old male victim was with his mother and siblings at an Athletic Club, in the 5300 block of Leary Avenue NW. The victim reported that he was in the men’s locker room and was going to go into the shower and close the curtain, when a naked man sitting on a bench in front of the showers started staring at the him. The man repeatedly made inappropriate remarks of a sexual nature to the victim. The victim was frightened and went and reported the incident to his mother. The victim’s mother alerted staff who called police.
The suspect fled out a side or back door prior to officer’s arrival. On 09/21/11, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers took the suspect into custody and transported him to Seattle Police Headquarters. He was interviewed and subsequently booked into King County Jail for Communication with a Minor for Immoral Purposes.
