Traffic Officer Mary Ann Unger recently competed in the 2011 World Police & Fire Games in New York, held from August 26th through September 5th. As the title of the games suggests, this was a world class competition open to law enforcement officers and fire fighters from across the globe.
Officer Unger entered into five swimming events and won two gold, one silver and two bronze medals! The games took place in spite of Tropical Storm Irene – formerly known as Hurricane Irene. Way to go, Mary Ann!
