2 shot; Gang Unit investigating

The group didn’t appear to be involved in criminal activity, so the officers continued on to their call.  Within seconds of passing the group, shots rang out.  Officers pulled around and stopped two individuals, but were told the shooters were running south on 50th.

Officers could see males running and gave chase.  Other officers responded into the area.  1 male was caught and later taken to the Gang Unit’s Office .  1 shooting victim came to a grocery store in the area and was found by the off-duty Officer working there.  This victim had a superficial gunshot wound on his upper torso.

The 2nd victim ran to his address on 55th Ave S and called Police.  He had a gunshot would to his arm.  Neither victim gave specific suspect info and were evasive as to what their involvement was at the scene. The Gang Unit processed the scene and later interviewed all of the persons involved.

Officers canvassed the area for witnesses and knocked on neighborhood doors, but their efforts were fruitless.
