On September 28th at approximately 3:56 p.m. officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 9100 block of Rainier Avenue South. Preliminary investigation indicates that a 22-year-old male victim was shot in the legs while standing at the bus stop. The suspected shooter was with a group of males standing across the street from the victim, all of whom fled the scene on foot after the shooting.
SFD medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Patrol officers and Gang Unit detectives conducted an area search however, the suspect remains at large.
This remains an active and on-going Gang Unit investigation.
