On October 13th at around 8:03 p.m., a concerned citizen called 911 to report seeing a man about mid-span of the Aurora Bridge. He was standing on a cement pillar and grabbing onto the “Suicide Prevention Fence”. The caller believed that the man was trying to scale the fence.
Several patrol officers from North and West Precincts responded. Upon arriving, they quickly located the man and contacted him. He was very despondent and wished to go to Harborview Medical Center to speak with a Mental Health Professional (MHP). Officers called for an ambulance to transport him to the hospital.
