Man with outstanding Felony Warrant assaults officer

On 11/4/11, at approxiamtely 1:00 a.m., officers were contacted by security at a nightclub in the 100 block of  Occidental Av S.  Security pointed out a man to officers stating that he was was trying to sell narcotics to people entering the club.  Security also stated that the man might be possibly armed with a knife.  Officers contacted the man and recovered two knives from his person.  One knife was a 6- inch fixed bladed knife and the other was a 2- inch folding knife.  The suspect broke free from officers and fled on foot.  A brief foot pursuit ensued but officers caught the suspect a short distance away.  During the arrest the suspect punched one of the officers in the face. 

The suspect had in his possession:  5.8 grams of flake cocaine ($580 street value), 2.5 grams meth ($250 street value), 1 vial of LSD, and 2 knives.  The 24-year old suspect,  also had an outstanding Felony Warrant for Assault 1, Burglary 1, and Robbery 1 for a bail of $500,000 out of Mt. Vernon Sheriff’s Office, extraditable from all 50 states. 

The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault and the Felony Warrant.  The narcotics and knives were seized and placed into evidence.
