Stolen vehicle found burning in South Seattle

 

On 11-05-11, at approximately 4:36 a.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of S. Holly St. The caller/ complainant heard a car horn going off and looked outside to see what was going on. She saw a vehicle fully engulfed in flames next to the wooded area on the west side of her residence.

The vehicle was a reported stolen vehicle which was dumped and may have been intentionally set on fire at this location.

The complainant did not observe anyone in or around the vehicle, and there was minimal foot traffic in the area.

Fire Marshall 5 responded and did an initial investigation. The vehicle was impounded and the Arson Bomb Unit was notified of the incident.
