On December 21st at approximately 2:48 p.m. officers responded to a report of a bank robbery in the 4100 block of University Way. The suspect was gone upon the officers’ arrival on scene. A witness who got a good look at the suspect flagged down one of the responding officers and provided him with a description.
Officers located and stopped the suspect approximately two blocks away from the scene of the robbery. The officers recovered the money taken by the suspect during the robbery. Two witnesses positively identified the suspect, who was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Robbery Office for questioning.
The 52-year-old male suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
This remains an active and on-going robbery investigation.
