On December 26th at approximately 4:49 a.m. officers responded to a report of an armed robbery of a fast food restaurant in the 13000 block of Lake City Way NE. The suspect was gone upon the officers’ arrival on scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect used rocks to break out the glass of an entrance door to the restaurant. He then climbed through the doorway, brandished a handgun at the employees inside and robbed the restaurant (which was not yet open for business).
The suspect fled the scene westbound on foot and remains at large. Nobody was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6’2″ tall, slim build, wearing a dark motorcycle helmet with a dark face shield, dark leather jacket, dark backpack, blue sweatshirt, blue jeans and armed with a black handgun.
Although the suspect’s description closely resembles the suspect description in a December 24th armed robbery of a coffee shop in Lake City, it is unknown at this time if this is the same suspect.
Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 911 or the Seattle Police Robbery Unit at (206) 684-5535. Anonymous tips are welcome.
Robbery detectives have been assigned to the case which remains an active and on-going investigation.
