On December 27th at approximately 3:17 a.m. a 41-year-old male suspect was taken into custody on a Department of Corrections (DOC) warrant in the 900 block of North 130th Street during a traffic stop (the suspect was a passenger in a car).
Further investigation indicated that the warrant suspect may also be a possible suspect in the recent Lake City armed robberies. The suspect was turned over to Seattle Police Robbery detectives who are currently interviewing him.
It has yet to be determined if this suspect is responsible for any of the recent armed robberies in the Lake City area.
More details will be forthcoming when they become available. This remains an active and on-going robbery investigation.
