On December 29th at around 11:58 p.m., South Precinct patrol officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 2400 block of 4th Avenue S. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the adult female victim – the manager of the restaurant. She told officers that she had been robbed at closing time by a white male in his 40’s, 6’0 tall, with a thin build, wearing a dark hat, dark blue windbreaker and dirty blue jeans.
Patrol officers conducted an area check and a K9 officer attempted a track but the suspect was not located. The victim informed officers that the suspect implied that he had a handgun but after the robbery indicated that he did not. The vicitm described the suspect as very apologetic. Officers conducted a search for fingerprints and took a cash drawer into evidence for further processing. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
