On 1/20/12, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the suspect called 911 and stated that he was going to kill everyone, then hung up. Officers responded to a house in the 4100 block of 39th Av S. Upon arrival officers found the home occupied by a woman (suspect’s mom) and 8-10 kids, she was taking care of. The suspect’s mom didn’t know anything about the threats.
Officers on containment contacted the suspect who was hiding. The suspect had a gun in his hand and wasn’t immediately compliant, but he did finally drop the gun and complied with officer’s request to get on the ground. He was taken into custody without incident.
The 16-year-old (male) suspect was booked into the Youth Service Center for Investigation of Harassment-Threats.
The gun was recovered and placed into evidence. No one in the house was injured.
