On January 30th, at approximately 12:52 am, North Precinct officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business in the 5000 Block of Roosevelt Way NE. The employees told police that they were inside the business when two suspects, described as Black males, late twenties, wearing masks over their faces, entered the store. Both were armed with handguns. One suspect demanded money from an employee while the other remained at the door. One of the employees was struck in the head with a gun by the suspect. After the business was robbed, the suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Officers arrived and conducted an extensive area search, but the suspects were not located. This remains an active and on going investigation. Robbery Unit detectives will handle the follow up investigation.
