On February 1st at approximately 7:30 p.m. North Precinct Anti-Crime Team (ACT) officers, acting on information developed during the course of an on-going investigation, arrived at the suspect’s residence in the 13700 block of Midvale Avenue North.
Officers surrounded the suspect’s apartment complex and attempted to contact the suspect at his apartment. Shortly thereafter the suspect was observed sneaking out the back of his apartment. When confronted by officers, the suspect ran back inside. The suspect then tried to sneak out the front door of his apartment at which time he was taken into custody by officers lying in wait.
The 26-year-old male suspect was subsequently booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault (felony assault) and Investigation of VUFA (being a felon in possession of a firearm).
This remains an active and on-going Homicide/Assault investigation.
