Shots fired downtown

On February 5th at approximately 1:36 a.m. officers heard three shots fired in the 2100 block of Western Avenue.  Officers were in the area and arrived immediately.  Although officers could hear the shots being fired, they were unable to see any muzzle flashes or people shooting.  The officers located a large group of people in the area of the shots who scattered when seeing the officers.  Fortunately no victims were located.

Two possible suspects were detained and subsequently released when no weapons were located.  Officers did recover three shell casings from the ground.  They also discovered a window in the 2100 block of Western Avenue that had a gunshot hole through it.  Nobody was injured however.

Officer continued to search the area but no other evidence or property damage was located.
