On February 10th, at approximately 9:30 am, South Precinct officers responded to 911 reports of two males going door to door acting suspiciously in the 5100 Block of South Spencer Street. As officers arrived in the area they heard an alarm ringing at a residence and observed two juvenile males running away from the house.
Officers checked the residence and found that the house had been burglarized. The two suspects were detained a short distance away. Evidence of the burglary was found in the suspects’ possession and they were taken into custody. The two suspects, ages 13 and 15, were later booked into the Youth Services Center. Great job by the citizens who called in the initial “suspicious activity” and the quick response by officers for the arrest!
