On February 19th, just before 1:00 am, an SPD officer was working with two Department of Corrections officers on an emphasis patrolin Belltown. The officers observed a car driving the wrong way down an alley and made a traffic stop in the 1500 Block of 1st Avenue. After checking the names of the occupants, it was determined that all three of the occupants of the car were on Department of Corrections supervision. The occupants were removed from the car. The rear seat passenger was sitting on a pistol. He also had a small leather bag with him that contained over 100 grams of methamphetamine. The adult male suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Violation of Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA) and Violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act (VUCSA) (felony drugs).
