On February 22nd at approximately 1:00 p.m. the 52-year-old female victim was walking near 10th Avenue South and South King Street when a male suspect approached, knocked her down, and tore a gold necklace from her neck. As the victim was knocked to the ground she struck her head on a post, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect then fled southbound on 10th Avenue South and remains at large.
SFD medics responded and treated the victim at the scene. She declined further treatment and was not transported.
The suspect is described as a black male adult, 6’3″ tall, slim build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and light-colored blue jeans.
Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police immediately and refer to this incident. Anonymous tips are welcome.
