Barricaded DV suspect arrested

On 3/8/12, at approximately 1000 a.m., officers responded to the 14000 block of 32 Av NE to a report of an assault where the suspect was armed with a hangun.

The complainant is the victim’s mother. She that the 45-year-old suspect (daughter’s boyfriend) had assaulted her daughter and he was armed with a handgun. The complainant went on to say that the suspect was also wanted by police.

Officers, Hostage Negotiators and SWAT units responded and set up containment on the apartment. The suspect was alone inside the apartment unit when officers contacted him via patrol car PA (public address system). The suspect agreed to come out of the apartment. The suspect exited the apartment and was taken into custody without incident.  After talking with victim it was determined that the 911 call from her mother may have been in retaliation for an argument they had earlier in the morning in which the mother assaulted the daughter.

The suspect was transported to the North Precinct and processed. He was booked into King County Jail for an outstanding Department of Corrections Warrant.
