On March 26th, at approximately 12:20 am, a 22 year old male approached two East Precinct officers in the 1700 Block of Summit Avenue and told them that he had just been stabbed. The officers observed that the victim had a small puncture wound to his upper chest, and immediately called for the Seattle Fire Department to respond. The victim told officers that he was “jumped” by several males, and that they took his backpack and stabbed him. The victim stated that he was acquainted with the main suspect from the streets, and gave officers a description. He also told officers that he believed the suspects might be hanging out at their favorite location on Broadway. That description was broadcast immediately and a short time later officers located a suspect matching that description in front of a store in the 1400 Block of Broadway. The suspect, a 21 year old male, was carrying the victim’s backpack. The suspect was arrested and later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of a puncture wound and lacerations to his hands. The injuries are not life threatening.
