Man Wounded In Beacon Hill Shooting

One man was wounded in an early-morning shooting on Beacon Hill last Saturday, March 31.

The victim told officers he was in his garage of his home on 39th Avenue S. and S. Trenton Street at 2:30 in the morning, working on a car, when a masked man confronted him. The masked man then shot the victim in both of his legs, and fled.

Officers found the victim lying in his backyard, and medics transported then transported him to Harborview. His injuries are not life-threatening.

While securing the victim’s home, police found several loaded guns inside, including a shotgun, AK-47 style rifle, and assault style rifle with what appeared to be an illegal barrel modification.

Police are still trying to piece together details of the shooting, but believe the victim was specifically targeted in the attack. “Although we dont know exactly what took place right now, it doesn’t appear to be random,” says South Precinct Lt. John Hays.
