On the evening of April 6th Seattle Police Narcotics detectives conducted a buy/bust operation targeting drug dealing at rave parties. In this case, detectives learned that the suspect (dealer) travels to Seattle a couple times a month to deal drugs at parties, specifically raves.
On April 6th detectives arranged for the suspect to deliver three ounces of Ketamine in exchange for $2,500.00 in cash. The suspect arrived for the meet shortly before 9:00 p.m. The meet location was in a parking lot in the 2100 block of 6th Avenue south of a theater that was hosting a rave party.
After the deal was completed the suspect was arrested by officers of the West Precinct Anti-Crime Team (ACT).
Narcotics detectives located the vehicle the suspect used to drive to Seattle, a blue older model Pontiac. Two females were waiting inside the parked car (the Pontiac belonged to one of the female subjects). After obtaining a written consent to search, a backpack with drugs was found inside the vehicle.
Narcotics detectives recovered the following items:
91 grams (3 ounces) of Ketamine
One vial of liquid Xanax
One vial of DMT (a hallucinogenic)
One vial of Rusty CC (a hallucinogenic)
One brown jar containing 11 tablets wrapped in tinfoil
4 unknown pills
Metal flask containing an unknown liquid
$339.00 in U.S. currency
Both female subjects were interviewed and released from the scene (the Pontiac was released to the owner). The 20-year-old male suspect (dealer) was booked into the King County Jail.
This remains an active and on-going Narcotics Unit investigation.
