On March 19th at 9:47 a.m., the victim was using the ATM at a bank in the 500 block of S. Jackson when a female approached him asking for money. He told her no and started walking back to his apartment in the 400 block of Maynard Avenue S. Once arriving at his apartment, the female forced her way into the alcove and again confronted him.
The suspect punched the vicitm in the nose and reached into his pocket and took $100. Seattle Fire Department responded and treated the victim for facial injuries. He was later treated at the VA Hospital for lacerations to his nose. Approximately 30 minutes after the robbery, patrol stopped and identified a possible suspect. A show up was not conducted because the victim could not be located.
Detectives obtained surveillance footage from the bank and created a bulletin depicting the suspect. The officer who stopped the suspect that morning identified her as the same suspect in the robbery.
On April 24th at approximately 10:45 a.m., the female suspect was contacted and arrested at her residence in the 300 block of Marion. She was taken to the Robbery Office for processing.
The 32-year-old suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
