On May 18th at approximately 3:16 p.m. officers responded to a 911 call of a bank robbery in the 1000 block of 8th Avenue North. The suspect entered the bank and walked up to a teller counter. The suspect implied he had a gun and after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash he fled the scene southbound on foot and remains at large.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s to 50s, wearing a black hat and a black jacket and armed with a handgun (see attached surveillance photos).
Based on similarities in the suspect’s appearance and methods of operation, detectives believe this may be the same suspect responsible for a bank robbery in Issaquah on March 24, 2012.
Anyone who may know the identity or whereabouts of this suspect is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.00 if the information given leads to an arrest and charge of the person involved.
This remains an active and on-going investigation.
