Five Suspects Wanted for Vandalism, Violence During May Day Demonstrations

After combing through hours of video taken during the May 1 demonstrations in downtown Seattle, detectives have identified several men and women who disrupted peaceful protests through acts of vandalism and violence.

While detectives have put faces to some of the crimes committed on May 1, they now need the public’s help in putting a name to those faces.

The first suspect pictured is wanted for smashing windows at Niketown in downtown Seattle.

The second suspect is also wanted for using his skateboard to smash windows at Niketown.

The third suspect is wanted for assault, after he threw an unidentified item at officers.

The fourth suspect threw a bottle or book at officers, striking one in the head.

The fifth suspect is wanted for a hit-and-run attack on an officer. The man rushed out of the crowd and stomped on the officer’s knee.

Police are still analyzing video and photographs taken during May Day to identify other suspects, who detectives believe caused more than $100,000 in damage during the demonstrations.
