(4th) South Seattle drive-by shooting from overnight

On 5/27/12, the victim was standing in her bedroom looking out the window of her residence in the 4200 block of South Henderson Street.  At approximately 3:10 a.m., someone fired several shots through the bedroom window and into other areas of the house.

The victim ducked down on the floor when the first shot rang out, and did not see who the shooter (s) was, but heard a vehicle speeding away in an unknown direction on ML. King Way shortly after the last volley of shots were fired. The family removed two bullets from the interior walls and gave them to officers.

Officers discovered that six shots were fired through the victim’s bedroom window, and approximately five other shots were fired in other areas on the east side of the house.  Six casings were recovered in the south bound lanes of ML King Way, indicating that the shooter (s) possibly fled in that direction.

Officers photographed the scene, and the bullets and spent casings were collected and placed into evidence.  No injuries resulted from the incident.
