Homeowner shot in chest during home invasion robbery

On 5/27/12, at approximately 1:52 a.m., a suspect broke into a home in the 12300 block of 11 Ave NE ,where the victim and his roommate live and operate a marijuana grow operation. The suspect was confronted by the adult male homeowner. The armed suspect fired upon the victim, striking him in the chest. The suspect fled the house. Responding officers and a K-9 responded and set up containment in the area.

The adult  male victim was treated on scene by Seattle Fire. He was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injures. The suspect is described as an Asian male, 20-30 years old, medium height, slim build, short black hair, wearing a dark jacket.

While officers were on the scene of the home invasion robbery a second homeowner called in a burglary at a residence near NE 125th and 112 Ave NE. Officers quickly responded to that location and checked the house. The suspect was gone. It is unknown if this was the same suspect.

Homicide/Robbery Detectives responded and processed the scene.
