Threatening Letter Causes Speaker to Cancel Engagement at Community Center – Speaker is Well Known in “911 Truth” Movement
On June 12th at approximately 9:05 a.m. officers responded to the 5000 block of University Way NE to investigate a threatening letter received in the mail at a community center. The threats were directed toward a “911 Truth” Movement activist scheduled to speak at the community center on June 13th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. As a result of the threats the speaker cancelled his engagement at the community center.
Investigating officers collected the letter and the envelope the letter was delivered in and submitted the items to the evidence section with a request for forensic analysis.
The case has been forwarded to Arson/Bomb Squad detectives who continue to actively investigate.
