Two men got into an argument near 2nd Avenue and Bell Street shortly before 3:00 am. It is unknown what the two were arguing about, but the argument soon turned into a fight. During the fight, the male suspect produced a handgun and several shots were fired, striking the victim. The victim ran down Bell Street, finally collapsing at the corner of 1st and Bell, where witnesses providing medical aid until the Seattle Fire Department could respond and transport the victim to Harborview. Officers responded to the area and interviewed several witnesses, but at this point we do not have a very good description of the suspect. The victim, an adult male, was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Detectives from the Homicide and Assault Unit responded and are now conducting their investigation.
