A man was shot while driving through a South Seattle neighborhood. Just shortly after 2:00 a.m. this morning, the victim was driving Southbound on MLK Jr Way. When he reached S. Orcas St he saw a group of people waving at him, attempting to flag him over.
The victim continued Southbound. The people attempting to wave him over got into 2 separate cars and followed the victim. At approximately the 7700 block of MLK Jr Wy S., a passenger in one of the cars; a silver/grey BMW (possibly 3 series) open fire, firing multiple rounds at the victim’s vehicle, striking him in the upper thigh.
The suspect vehicle (BMW) and a second unknown described vehicle continued Southbound on MLK JR Wy S.
The victim was treated on scene by Seattle Fire and transported to an area hospital with none life threatening injuries.
