An armed suspect entered the victim’s apartment through an unlocked patio door. This morning at approximately 3:30, in the 13000 block of 15 AV NE an armed suspect confronted the victim inside the victim’s apartment near the kitchen. The suspect was holding a handgun and struck the victim in the head with the gun and then proceeded to punch and kick the victim.
The scuffle continued onto the rear patio as the suspect was trying to get away. The victim was able to see the suspect jump into a Yellow Jeep Wrangler. Arriving officers conducted a search for the vehicle with negatives results.
Detectives do not believe this was a random act but rather a dispute over property.
