This morning at about 10:30 am a man was inside his apartment in the 3900 Block of South Eddy Street. He heard crashing noises coming from the rear of the residence. When he went to investigate, he saw two unknown men, described as black males in their late 20’s to early 30’s, both dressed in black hooded sweatshirts inside his apartment. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and pointed it directly at the victim. One of the suspects grabbed a container of loose change and both suspects then fled on foot.
A next door neighbor saw the suspects fleeing and chased them on foot before they got into an older model blue car and drove off eastbound on South Eddy St.
The victim was able to call 911 and South Precinct officers responded. The victim was not injured. Detectives from the Robbery Unit also responded and processed the scene. The container of money was recovered from a nearby lawn and will be processed for any possible evidence. This remains an active and on-going investigation. Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to contact Seattle Police.
