Two victims assaulted and robbed and gunpoint this morning. At approximately 1:36 a.m., officers responded to a reported armed robbery in the 5600 block of 16th Ave NE. The two victims said they were walking home from a party when two male suspects appeared from the bushes, confronted them, and one brandished a semi-automatic handgun.
The suspect with the handgun struck both victims about the face with the handgun. One victim was then robbed of a cell phone, wallet and keys. The two suspects fled on foot southbound on 16th Ave NE. An area check for the suspects was negative. The victims were not seriously injured.
The two suspects are described as black males in their early twenties, both wearing navy or black hooded sweatshirts, one was armed with a handgun.
This is an open and active investigation.
