A man being sought by Robbery Detectives was arrested this morning in Lake Stevens. On September 23rd at approxiamtely 1:20 p.m. the victim was walking through the QFC parking lot at 11100 Roosevelt Way NE when an unknown male suspect confronted her. He grabbed the victim’s purse that was around her shoulder. A brief struggle ensued as the woman tried to hang onto the purse, but the suspect was able to pull it away and run off.
Witnesses observed the suspect get into a black SUV. They also provided a license plate of the vehicle.
Information developed from the vehicle led to the identity of the suspect. He was identified by several witnesses. Several possible destinations were checked, but he could not be located.
Robbery Detectives distributed a wanted bulletin. On October 8th at approxiamtely 2:30 a.m., the 25-year-old suspect was located and arrested by Lake Stevens PD in the 100 block of 103rd Avenue SE in Lake Stevens.
The suspect was transported to the Robbery Office for processing. The suspect’s vehicle was impounded to the Processing Room.
He was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
