Man Grazed By Bullet Outside South Seattle Apartment

One man was grazed by a bullet outside a south Seattle apartment building Thursday night in a shooting now under investigation by gang detectives.

Around 11 pm Thursday, the 26-year-old victim was standing on his porch outside his apartment near Claremont Avenue S. and S. Byron Street, near the Mt. Baker neighborhood, when he saw a man, dressed all in black, standing in the shadows across the street.

When the victim called out to the shadowy figure and asked if he was looking for someone, the suspect pulled out a gun and fired four to five shots at the victim, who ducked into his apartment.

One round grazed the victim’s back, slicing through his jacket and leaving him with a welt.

The suspect ran off and may have fled the scene in a purple sedan.
