Two teenagers were killed in a vehicle vs. pole collision. On November 11th, just shortly after 8:00 p.m., Valley Communications 9-1-1 called Seattle 9-1-1 reporting a vehicle vs. pole fatality collision that King County PD had been to dispatched in the 9200 block of 8th Av S.
A black 1990 Acura Integra was travelling north on 8 Av S and failed to negotiate a curve, lost control, and subsequently struck a telephone pole causing significant damage to both the vehicle and pole.
The driver, a 16 year-old male was killed instantly. Four additional occupants, all juveniles were treated on scene by Seattle Fire Department and transported to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) via Medics. One of the passengers, a female also succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at HMC. The additional three occupants were listed in critical and/or serious condition.
Traffic Collision Investigators responded and processed the scene. It is not yet known if alcohol and/or drugs contributed to this collision. This is an open and active investigation.
