Police and Fire personnel responded to an apartment fire this morning. Just shortly before 2:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of an apartment fire in the 3600 block of 34 Av S.
Fire Marshal 5 and Arson Bomb Squad responded. It was inconclusive as to if the fire was set intentionally or not. The boyfriend, who had been thrown out of the apartment this morning, was contacted by police one block away from the fire. He was taken to the South Precinct where he was interviewed and released pending further investigation. This is an open and active case.
