Help Others: Volunteer for the Victim Support Team

We are currently accepting applications for volunteers with the Seattle Police Department’s Victim Support Team!

The Victim Support Team (VST) is a unique partnership between community members and the Seattle Police Department that addresses domestic violence prevention and safety for victims directly following a police incident.

We are currently accepting applications for the upcoming 50-hour Training Academy starting this spring.

Volunteers are trained on a range of topics presented by Seattle Police detectives, officers, community leaders, Domestic Violence Advocates and VST staff.  At the completion of Academy, VST volunteers are required to work a minimum of one 8-hour shift per month and attend 7 out of 12 (2-hour-long) monthly meetings a year.

Register to attend a VST Orientation Thursday, March 7th from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm or Saturday, April 13th from 10:00 am-11:30 am by calling the VST Volunteer Supervisor @ 206-615-0892 or emailing sarah.sorensen@seattle.gov
