Here is some free advice: Don’t drink too much. Don’t play with scissors. And don’t do both at the same time.
A 67-year-old man, who had been drinking with his neighbor when an argument began, was arrested early this morning after he used a pair of scissors to stab his neighbor in the chin.
Officers from the West Precinct and Seattle Firefighters responded to the Wintonia Apartments in the 1400 Block of Minor Avenue at 5:40 this morning for a possible stabbing. They met the intoxicated 41-year-old victim in the lobby of the building, who told them that he and his neighbor were drinking in another tenant’s room when the argument started. According the victim, the suspect grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed him in the chin. The injury was not considered life-threatening.
Officers contacted the suspect in one of the rooms and took him into custody. They also recovered the scissors. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for assault and also had an outstanding theft warrant.
