Officers and traffic collision detectives are actively investigating a three-vehicle collision that has shut down traffic on the Aurora Bridge.
At approximately 6:31 p.m. officers and medics responded to a 911 call of a head-on blocking collision on the Aurora Bridge involving a white box truck, a purple Ford pickup truck and a Honda Pilot. Each vehicle was occupied by the driver only.
Fire department medics transported the adult male driver of the Ford pickup truck to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) with life-threatening injuries.
The adult male driver of the panel van was transported to HMC by ambulance for further evaluation (no apparent injuries). The driver of the Honda Pilot was not injured.
All lanes of travel in both directions are shut down while patrol officers and Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives continue their active, on-scene investigation.
The events and circumstances leading up to the collision also remain under active investigation.
