A pedestrian was taken to HMC this morning following a collision. This morning just shortly after 1:00 a.m., a Yellow cab was travelling north on Rainier Av S where it intersects with 25 Av S. Without notice, a pedestrian in the street at the same location was struck by the Yellow cab.
The adult male pedestrian was treated on scene by SFD and transported via Medics to Harborview Medical Center with a serious head injury.
As is routine, the adult male cab driver (sole occupant) was evaluated on scene by an SPD Drug Recognition Expert, no signs of impairment were detected.
The investigation continues.
