A traveling jewelry salesman was robbed while making a delivery to the Northgate Mall. On April 10th at 10:45 a.m., a jewelry saleman was arriving at Northgate Mall to meet some clients. As he exited his vehicle with a small travel suitcase and tote bag containing miscellaneous jewelry and diamonds, he was suddenly confronted by 3-4 masked Hispanic males armed with ice picks. The suspects had jumped out of a vehicle that pulled up next to the victim.
One suspect pushed the victim backwards as he let go of the suitcase and another suspect punctured the victim’s rear tires. The suspects then got back into their vehicle and fled the parking lot. The vehicle was described as a newer silvery blue van. Numerous units responded to the incident, but the suspects or vehicle could not be located. The victim was not injured. The loss amount is unknown at this time.
The Robbery Unit was requested and responded to interview the victim and process the scene.
