Updated Information on View Ridge Home Invasion Robbery

Here is some additional information on this morning’s home invasion robbery in the View Ridge neighborhood:

The victim is a 36-year-old man who lives in the 7500 Block of 44th Avenue NE.  His friend, a 34-year-old man, was visiting from out of town.  Both men were awakened at approximately 3:30 this morning by loud crashing noises when the back door was kicked in.  They were confronted by three armed Hispanic men in their twenties.  Two of the suspects were armed with rifles and the third had a handgun. During the confrontation, the resident was struck in the face with the butt of one of the rifles.

The victims were held at gun point while the suspects took marijuana plants, weapons, cash and the victim’s light blue 1995 Ford Crown Victoria when they fled.  After the suspects left, the victims ran to a nearby location where they called 911  at approximately 5:40 am.  They then continued on to the University Hospital where the victim received treatment for the injuries to his face.

A number of officers responded to the location, but the suspects and victim’s car could not be located.  Robbery Unit detectives responded to the location and processed the scene and began their investigation.
