Two males were seen firing shots from their vehicle as they drove through Lake City. On 4/30/13, just shortly before 10:00 p.m., officers responded to 25 NE and Ravenna Av NE to a report of shots being fired from a moving vehicle.
Witnesses reported that two males were firing shots out the passenger side of their vehicle as they traveled through Lake City. Officers eventually caught up to the suspects in their vehicle and stopped them at NE 50th and 17 NE. The passenger was taken into custody and eventually booked into King County Jail for Reckless Endangerment, Discharging a Firearm and Unlawful Carrying or Handling Weapons. The driver of the vehicle was investigated and released from the scene.
The suspect’s vehicle was impounded to the SPD processing room while waiting for a search warrant to be obtained for retrieval of a known weapon concealed therein.
Officers recovered shell casings from the scene. The casing will be placed into evidence. There were no reported injuries or property damage.
