Multiple calls of shots fired this morning in South Seattle. Just shortly before 1:oo a.m. officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Rainer Av S and S. Austin St.
Officers quickly arrived in the area and found an adult male sitting in his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Seattle Fire responded and attempted life saving efforts however, the victim died.
People in the area told officers that the man lived out of his car and was likely asleep when he was shot. It is not yet known what precipitated this shooting. There is no suspect information available at this time.
Homicide detectives are responding to process the scene.
