Detectives Investigating Two Arson Fires Set In South Seattle Last Night

SPD arson detectives are investigating two fires set outside South Seattle businesses last night.

Just after 8 pm, someone set fire to a pile of wood outside a glass shop at Rainier Avenue S. and S. 22nd Street, causing at least $30,000 in damage.

As firefighters were putting out the first blaze, dispatchers got another report of another fire in a dumpster behind a Burger King two blocks away at Rainer Avenue S. and S. Hill Street.

When police and firefighters arrived at the Burger King, the manager had already staunched the fire before it caused any serious damage.
