Two young suspects are now in the Youth Services Center after they were caught last night attempting to steal a car in the 5400 Block of Delridge Way Southwest.
At about 11:15 pm someone called 911 to report one boy jumping the fence and opening the door to the parking garage for the other. The caller then went down to the garage and saw the boys break into a Toyota Matrix and drive the car backwards into the fence. Officers arrived quickly and contacted the two suspects in the alley behind the Delridge Library. Witnesses positively identified the two suspects as the boys who had entered the garage and vehicle, and the 14- and 15-year-old suspects were arrested. They were later booked into the Youth Services Center.
