Harbor Officers Rescue Trapped Dog From Capsized Boat

Seattle Police Harbor officers rescued a trapped dog tonight after responding to a capsized boat on Lake Washington.

At approximately 7:50 p.m. Harbor officers responded to the report of a capsized boat in the middle of Lake Washington near the Windermere neighborhood.

Upon arrival, three adults from the capsized boat had been picked up by another boat.  They were safe and uninjured.

A large dog was trapped in an air pocket inside the cabin of the capsized boat.

Harbor officers donned their dive gear and rescued the trapped dog.  Upon rescue the dog was found to be fine and not needing any further treatment.

The boat was towed back to Magnuson Park.
